Application For Obtaining Grants
Dear School Principal,
Every year, Fondazione Azzurra is awarded incentive funds by the Italian Government, through the Italian Consulate, for the purpose of implementing courses in Italian for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. These funds are issued especially to schools interested in planning the teaching of Italian in their curriculum. Schools interested in offering Italian classes during extended school days are encouraged to apply too. Grants are awarded with the expectation that the program will become self-sustaining in the future years.
We like to remind your school that the grant is offered for classes with at least twelve students as a contribution of 40$/hr based on actual in-class instruction and does not include the cost for benefits, preparation, travel, insurance, administrative time. Excessive funds have to be returned to Fondazione Azzurra at the end of the school year.
We invite you to apply for these grants by downloading and completing the ITALIAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM FUNDING APPLICATION (Grades K-12th) by April 30th 2010.
For application guidelines, please contact Dr. M. Simona Morosin, our educational office representative, to discuss the proposal further and to schedule an appointment. You can e-mail her at italiano@fondazioneazzurra.org.
Sincerely,
Marcella Spinotti, President
