Fondazione Azzurra

Fondazione Azzurra has developed an educational project in cooperation with experts in the field of Education and Applied Linguistics to provide schools and institutions in Southern California with guidelines for teaching Italian as a foreign language according to the standards proposed by the California Department of Education. The document Fondazione Azzurra for the Development of Italian as a Foreign Language in Southern California (pdf), revises the main contributions from research in Second Language Acquisition conducted at various universities in the US and in Europe. It also presents an updated viewpoint of Education and Foreign Language Teaching from many universities in Italy.

This document is addressed to the schools and institutions, which apply for grants from Fondazione Azzurra, as well as for its instructors.
